A Musical Journey through the Thrilling World of Tango When Ruth Roshan was introduced to Argentinean tango in Paris she was captivated. So much so she began her own quintet, Tango Noir, with whom she presents bittersweet, melodic tango inspired pieces. The tango originated in Buenos Aires as a fusion of various musical forms from Europe. It was the music and dance of an underclass - the dispossessed and the outcast. Dancers and orchestras then travelled to Europe and the tango craze over took Paris. Tango Noir recreate the atmosphere of a 30's French salon laden with flair, elegance, and sauciness.
