¡Hola Mexico Film Festival!

Founded in 2006 by Samuel Douek with the mission of bringing the best in Mexican cinema. The festival takes place every October/November in various cities in Australia and has managed to bring some of the most important films that have come out from Mexico. The festival looks at independent, documentaries, dramas and everything in between. And the program results in a hand picked selection of the best stories that are coming out of Mexico.

The festival has screened the premieres of films such as: EL INFIERNO (HELL), ACORAZADO (THE RAFT), MARIACHI GRINGO, REVOLUCION, ABEL and many others. And some of the invitees include: Carlos Carrera, Chango Pons, Ivan Avila Dueñas and Fernando Lebrija.

Mexican cinema has grown exponentially since 2006, with more than 70 films produced each year and many films winning awards at the most recognized film festivals around the world.

The festival strives to connect the audience in Australia to Mexico, through culture, entertainment, creating the most authentic experience. The festival is for all audiences, and every event is open to the general public.
